Anonymous For the Voiceless
So this past few days I went and attended my first cube of truth event. In this event we stand in a square/cube fashion holding signs and laptops/iPads quiet and not saying anything. On the iPads/laptops we show footage inside factory farms. This footage can be from dairy farms, pig farms and chickens(egg layers). Practises like baby chicks be ground up alive is shown. We show footage that would other wise be hidden from public knowledge. A lot of these practises are so very cruel but because it is standard practice it is not seen as cruel and little is done about it. It has to be something totally out of the ordinary to get someone to do something about it. Why so many organizations push to change the laws. The best way you can help to put these practises to an end is to simply not support it with your dollars.

FARM SANCTUARY.
So farm sanctuary holds every year an event called the farm sanctuary hoedown. They have various people there that do some speaking about various topics related to veganism. I went to my first one Aug 11 &12, 2018 and really enjoyed myself. It was great to hear from different speakers and different ways that they work on helping animals. Some talked about going into to schools and different places and giving talks, while others talked about fish, others talked different things. They even showed a mini film it was a great weekend. Probably the best part was all the sanctuary time that we had. We got to go at our pace visit animals we wanted too and stay as long as we wanted within a time frame of course. They gave us from 12:30 - 3pm sanctuary time on the first day. I highly recommend though if you go to spend time with each of the different animals, its. the best way to get to know them. I spent though the second day more with the cows and the sheep. They had great vegan food and it was included with our registration. Its best to keep an eye out for the events and be on it regularly if you really want to attend. If you are interested in this particular event you can keep a watch out by clicking here, or for further events at farm sanctuary by clicking here
