Unlike what we are taught to believe most animals in the industry have horrible lives. Because of the demand of meat, dairy and eggs animals are made to grow fast in a short period of time. Most animals are kept in dark barns/sheds and are only let out when they are to be slaughtered. About 80% of all antibiotics goes directly to animal agriculture, in addition to the antibiotics they are also loaded with hormones and various other chemicals.  Animals also have to pass by some cruel procedures without any pain relief whatsoever. It basically has become like a factory like we have with toys or baseballs but in this case you have to produce as many animals as possible during a very short period of time. Most places are over flowed with animals they barely can move, and various die and continue to decompose with the others still alive.

For The Environment
Animal agriculture is the leading cause of climate change. Animal agriculture produces far more greenhouse gas emissions then that of all forms of transportation combined. Water usage to keep animals alive and grow ranges any where from 34-76 trillion gallons per year. Animal agriculture is also responsible for 80-90% of  water consumption in the united states. For Your Health 
Studies for decades have been proven to show that  consumption of meat and dairy, and especially high levels are shown to cause cancer, heart disease, diabetes and various other diseases. Those that consume meat and dairy also increase there likeliness to be obese. We’ve been told that milk is good for our bones but studies actually show that consuming dairy  and meat you have a greater chance to have breast cancer and osteoporosis. Other illnesses that are well know to be increased due to consumption of meat and dairy are macular degeneration, cataracts, arthritis, colon cancer, prostate cancer, high blood pressure, high cholesterol and cardiovascular disease.
